Facebook Login Issue
First topic message reminder :
I am still having issues with the facebook login function. Can someone help me please, ive done everything, I know how to activate it, and i just recently deleted all my codes (js) so that there was nothing interfering with it. If you go to www.upstategaragesales.forumotion.com you will see that when you go to register and click the facebook button it will not work

Re: Facebook Login Issue
I don't what you're talking about I didn't create this topic, the subject I was talking about in my earlier post in this thread was about the facebook "Invite" feature which is in your profile page, which btw the subject had never been brought up before I noticed it and posted about it. The "facebook invite" still does not work on any version of forum.concon22 wrote:runawayhorses,

That topic has been deleted again without ever being solved.

Re: Facebook Login Issue
No, actually Sanket moved it here in this section and a lot of people replied saying they couldn't use the facebook invite either on their forums, and Leeloo said they were working on it, so it was hardly "ignored".concon22 wrote:Okay!

And no again, this topic has nothing to with the other topic as far as the problem goes, that topic was created months before this one here was.
Re: Facebook Login Issue
I have moved your topic back from the garbage - https://help.forumotion.com/t111631-2555-facebook-invite-not-loading . More likely it was automatically pruned because of no activity.runawayhorses wrote:No, actually Sanket moved it here in this section and a lot of people replied saying they couldn't use the facebook invite either on their forums, and Leeloo said they were working on it, so it was hardly "ignored".concon22 wrote:Okay!

Re: Facebook Login Issue
I take it we are all now getting the same problem :(and i can not invite on the acp or in the profile :O
Re: Facebook Login Issue
Well my facebook login works fine, it always has, but the facebook "invite" does not for all the forum versions. The url in the thread above is about the facebook invite.APE wrote:I take it we are all now getting the same problem :(and i can not invite on the acp or in the profile :O
Re: Facebook Login Issue
I have been given the link to this thread by SLGray, as I am also having trouble with the Facebook Login. When I try to use it, I get this message "Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains."
I am just adding my post here so I can follow any progress that is made in correcting this issue. I will disable my Facebook Login for now, until I read that a fix has been developed.
Thanks, everyone!

Re: Facebook Login Issue
I'm also getting this same problem. it was working for some time and now it's giving me this too."Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains."
Faebook Login Issues
I am getting this message from facebook when I try to login with a FB account in the forum:
Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.
I am Not sure what to actually do!?

Re: Facebook Login Issue
The issue is not setting up Facebook Connect, because the issue has to do with logging in with it.erchima wrote:you must be create app on the facebook developer

Re: Facebook Login Issue
It sounds like your problem is a "url" issue. Try adding your forums default url (the one forumotion created) and stay away from the domain url you paid for.ilo wrote:I am getting this message from facebook when I try to login with a FB account in the forum:

Adding a paid domain name to your forum or site can be opening a big can of worms at many different levels, and often times is, if you're happy enough with your forumotion url you received when you created your forum, just use that would be my advice. It doesn't cost you a dime and you never have payments you have to make to keep the link active. If someone offers you a free domain name for a year and you accept it and don't start paying after the year is up, the link will become a dead link and no longer work. That means anyplace you posted that link at or gave the link to, will no longer work.
To all other people having login problems with facebook I would like to say this, when I first added the facebook login to my forum I was using the phpbb3 version and it worked fine with no problems, and I changed versions (same forum) to punbb about a year ago and the facebook login still works fine, the facebook login was "grandfathered" in when I changed versions, meaning I didn't have to install it again it was unaffected and still in place and working, I've never had any problems with it. Its part of your "account" not version of forum, it applies to any version of forum you have on that account. My thoughts are if the facebook login is not working correctly when you try to install it on punbb or another version, you could trying switching versions to phpbb3 for the sole purpose of installing the facebook login, and once that is working correctly switch back to your version. Your facebook login will remain intact when you switch versions. You may have to add the numbers (keys) again but it will be functional.
The topic starter who created this topic stated he was having problems installing it correctly on punbb.
My thoughts are the facebook login installs easier on phpbb3, so install it with that version then switch back to what you had. I know a lot of people won't want to do that because they will lose a lot of modifications they may have made, but some people may find this an option to try if its a newly created forum it they haven't done much with the design.
One key note to think about when you're setting up the apps, untick the "Sandbox Mode" that is for developers and will not work right on your forum. The Sandbox Mode may be ticked by default, so untick that mode.
Re: Facebook Login Issue
Hey guys,
I have fixed this problem, I think that the I had done everything fine but the major problem was that I had to wait for a little bit for it to work. After placing all the info on facebook it took some time to activate. So note that also.
