new messages button isseu

hey there i have been adjusting my navigation bar whit buttons instead of the plain text that was in there i have all of them working but 1 wont work its the messages button i made the 2 buttons

1 you have no new messages
2 you have a message

i copyd the images in there but then i have to press save then this comes up



it says i have to write somthing in the top menu bar but it wont let me how do i go about this

You have to change them here:
Administration Panel > Display > Colors & Pictures > Pics Management
Advanced Mode
General/Index Tab

is it possible to change the grey background coulor of the navigation bar from grey to black
