Giving over founder permissions
I'm an admin on a forum that is having a few issues with our current 'Founder'.
For starters, he has not even logged in for 6 months and so when an issue arrises that would need his input or help, he is unavailable and so we are left to live with the issue which causes more problems.
When he does show up sporadically, we have asked as a community for him to give founder status to another member so we can actually have an active founder, but he refuses and disappears for another several months.
Is there any way to somehow give founder status to another member without needing the current founder to do it?

Re: Giving over founder permissions
You could try to change the founder account to someone else- https://help.forumotion.com/t81878-recovery-or-change-founder-of-an-account . But reading your post, it seems that he does visit the forum which could be a problem.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I doublechecked my info, and my date was wrong. He's logged in within 6 months (Oct 31, 2012 according to the stats), but otherwise he has not made any posts or done anything regarding the site since July 28, 2012.

As long as he logs onto the forum, the founder account can not be transferred to someone else. You will have to try to work it out with the founder.
