Follow this tutorial, except change the group links to a member's link: https://help.forumotion.com/t96136-group-s-style-on-legend-glitter-icon-glow .

An example of a member's link:
Mine on the support forum is https://help.forumotion.com/u26520 . /u26520

If you are the founder of the forum, you are in a group that you can not be removed from.

I'm slightly confused. Are you trying to colour your username differently without making an entire group for it, but are in a group that colours your username?

Or, are you in no group that colours your username but want a coloured username? ._.

now im confused...

all i want is to change a username's color without the username ( not me) being in a group! < i am the founder

i mean example!
Example:
forumguy111 < username is black < random...
after:
forumguy111 < username is white, everyone elses is black but hes, he is not in a group! no body else is in a group!

you see?

You need to add a code to your CSS Stylesheet.
Code:
a[href="/u"] {
    color: #000000 !important;}
Change the /u to their user code as SLGray explained in his post, and the 000000 to the colour you want them to be.
