Group Rank

I ran a phpBB2 forum years ago and modded it so that you could assign a custom rank to a group (auto rank enrolment on joining group)

Any chance this could be added?

Its already possible. You can earn a rank based on number of posts.

What do you mean link to groups?

He means that you rank would change depending what group you were in.
Like if you were a member, you rank would be member, but if you were added to the mod group, you rank would automaticly become moderator.

bingo, sorry if this wasnt clear from my posts

You can not really automatically add a rank to a staff group because the rank is considered a special rank. Now if you have groups that are based on post numbers, you can have automatically added ranks then.
