How do I make a certain page 404

Hey everyone.

Does anyone know a code where I can make a single page 404? Let's say I wanted to hide a user's profile. So when I put in the 404 code I'm looking for, you can still see all of the user's content around the site, except when you click that username, the page will 404 and tell you the user doesn't exist. However, the user will still exist. You can still use the account, it's just that your profile page is 404'ed.

So does anyone know a code where I can put in the URL of someone's profile (or any other link on the forum) and then that page will 404 when you try to access it?

No i dont recall seeing/knowing any coding for something thing for that?whats the point? seems a little misleading or corrupt to me?

But yeah not sure how you would be able to do that for individual users, there may be a way to do it for all users but not really sure about hat either?

I mean like it would be for any page and I could change the URL for the "404 page" at any time.

may be for a html page. just get a scrren shot of a real 404 page and add the image to it? Make sure it is a good wallpapper size? I guess if you wanted something to redirect to it you can always just add the html page link/change the link out.Butfor the profile thing your asking, not sure how to go about something like that?
