In progress Bought an external domain, it's showing up as forumotion but...

(note; I don't control this external domain so I can't show screenshots)

So I got my friend to buy my forum the domain name http://diaforums.com - he has set it to CNAME redirect to http://diaforums.forumotion.co.uk/ - yet when clicking on diaforums.com, it goes to a forumotion page saying that diaforums.com does not exist? I've tried to set it up with my forum, but it keeps telling me that the CNAME options aren't correct.

Any help? :S
