Members randomly being banned
Hi,
Some members on my forum are being randomly banned. So far two users have been banned for random numbers of days: one for 6, and one for 31. This is occurring randomly and I believe it only started today, but I would really appreciate any advice for how to keep this from reoccurring. I have checked the admin and mod logs and nothing seems to be out of order. We have zero mods and only two admins, so security is good for my website. I hope that this is just a glitch, but my knowledge of hacking and malware scripts is limited, so any and all advice is appreciated.
The link to my forum is http://www.forgottenpurrs.net/. I am happy to provide any extra information.

Re: Members randomly being banned
So there is no chance that the other administrator banned these members?
What exactly are these members saying when they try to log in?

Hello,
Did you check this option in PA>security (as you can see on the screenshot)?
By chosing "no", maybe some of your moderators have banned your members.
You should also check it.
Best regards

There is a chance, but I highly doubt it. She has been on the team for almost a year now and never pulled anything. I'm not sure what the members see when they try to log in, but from what I can tell they aren't given any reason.SLGray wrote:So there is no chance that the other administrator banned these members?

It is just the users who are being banned, no IP or e-mail addresses. The dates appear to be randomized, since some of them have already passed (four members were banned until 1/10/2013 this morning).
It could be, I was just hoping someone had other advice, or if anyone knew of another possibility. And I don't know a way to get into the admin CP undetected. Based on the log, none of the admins are doing it, but maybe there is another way? This is the mod actions log:RikudouSennin wrote:It's must be the 2nd mod because i never heard or seen this before
(My username on the site is Magpie, our other admin is Goldy.)
I just checked it, and it was on "no" so I changed it. Hopefully that was the problem; no members have been banned since, but it has only been about 15 minutes.Buttercup wrote:Hello,

Hello,
You can also check which moderators have banned your members on the following section
Admin Panel> General> Security> Moderation (see the screenshot):
