Solved A question about forumotion rules

Post by moi_lolito April 21st 2014, 10:54 pm

Hi to everybody!

I'm wondering if it goes against the rules of forumotion creating a yu-gi-oh tournament for my academy with, let's say, 20 players and a prize fond of 100-150 usd for the winner?

the money is going to the winner, there is nothing bad involved here, just would like to make sure about that this is ok to do? Smile

Thank you very much in advance Smile

That will go against the rules if you ask any bank accounts and staff on your forum. Because these are private information that you or noone else is allowed to ask for. (I think) Smile

but I mean like each player that wants to participate, needs to add to the fund 3 usd (example), all the money goes to the paypal account of one of the admins, and in the end the winner gets all this money through paypal, all the procedures are done through paypal only

I dont think so because someone might cheat and steal all the money. This is against the rules 100%

mmmmmmmmm, and what if the admin itself is donating for the tourney, and nobody needs to pay any entrance fee, the winner get's the money through paypal or western union, would that be ok?

Are you talking about using the donation system in the administration panel?  If yes, the credits can not be given to others.   You can only use them on your forum.

Nope, not exactly. For example, I will announce that a tourney starts in 1 month, there can only be 32 players subscribed and the winner get's a prize of 50-100 usd that the admin personally will transfer to the winner through paypal or western union. Nobody needs to pay anything here, it's only the admin the person that invests money.

Hi,

Giving someone money, either to their bank account, in person, or via Paypal or any other method is perfectly legal permitting you do this matter in private.
There is NOTHING in the Terms Of Service that disallows this.

Mario, I would suggest if you are unsure of something in the ToS to re-check it, and if it isn't clear then open a new topic, as in this example, monies are not noted in the ToS that refers to the monies transfer between two people. Wink
