Domain not completely functioning
Over at gmcfl.net and gmcfl.fourmotion.com we're having problems.
Changes are seen at gmcfl.net but javascript (chatbox) and links are not able to be clicked on. If you open the page up through the gmcfl.froumotion.com address everything functions correctly.
If I click on a topic with gmcfl.net it does not change the URL in the address bar.
I've never seen this issue before, any ideas?

Re: Domain not completely functioning
Which links are you referring to? I can press the title links, and they work.

Chatbox, clicking into text fields occasionally (editing was one issue I found). Clicking reply buttons. Like I said, works in four motion subdomain but not primary.

I'm another admin for the site. People have been having a lot of issues with the chat box. Sometimes it won't load on our domain, but will load with no issues on our forumotion address as well.

I see both of you are using Chrome. Try using a different browser. I was able to start a topic and reply to it.

Re: Domain not completely functioning
personally, I'm not having any issues with it, but other users using Safari and Firefox are having issues with our chatbox mainly.
Others are reporting the site has been randomly taking a while to load.

Exactly as Jay indicated. Browser doesn't matter.

Re: Domain not completely functioning
So the issue is with the chatbox, not posting on the forum?

1) The chatbox does not function on GMCFL.net.
- It does function on GMCFL.Forumotion.com
2) While editing posts on GMCFL.net occasionally we cannot click into the text box to edit it.
- It does function on GMCFL.Forumotion.com
3) Clicking buttons and links occasionally do not work.
- It does function on GMCFL.Forumotion.com
All of this regardless of browser.
We're still in the process of deciding if we will pay for ad free services.

Re: Domain not completely functioning
surprisingly, this all started once we added our domain name. We were having no issues up until that point.
Re: Domain not completely functioning
Hi,
Try going to ACP --> General --> Forum Address --> Personalized domain name --> Force URL redirection --> Save.
See if the problem still persists.

Re: Domain not completely functioning
Hi,
Your domain name is an external domain name and therefore some old topics and links will still show up with the Forumotion domain name as the Forumotion one is and will always be active in the background. So when you click on a link that by rights is one created under the old domain name, it can show up under the Forumotion one.
So far there isn't away to force redirection as forcing redirection is only available to domain bought the Forumotion.
That's my theory anyway.

Re: Domain not completely functioning
I guess we'll need to find a forum host who can allow us to do everything we'd like to do with our forum and spend our money with them.

Sound like a problem that would affect more than just us. We can't be the only ones with an "external domain name". Sounds like we'll spend our money elsewhere on forum hosting.

Re: Domain not completely functioning
Hi, we want to help all of you. The option that you want is included in the purchase of 1,600 credit of your domain name. Nice day.
Re: Domain not completely functioning
can i please ask you Did you pay for your domain name by the ACP ?
If NO then we can not do anything about this as we do not host your URL
If you did get your new Forum address from us then we could ask some one to look at this all links and other systems should work no matter what.
If you have got the new domain name from us then please let me know here.
