Slider Is Not Working On Firefox
I have a slider utilizing javascript here:
http://shinobievolution.forumotion.com/t75-testing
I finished this a couple days ago, and tested it on all browsers. While it isn't perfectly clean on IE, it does work on all main browsers. However this morning I tried using the slider on Firefox and it suddenly didn't work! It works for all components except for the actual slider, which doesn't appear to be able to "slide" (click with mouse and then drag). I was wondering if forumotion had an update today, since it worked up until now. I updated firefox to the latest version so I don't believe it is that (though I could be wrong).

Re: Slider Is Not Working On Firefox
Hello bmbmjmdm,
As far as I know there wasn't any update to the ForuMotion forums and if there was then I believe Buttercup would have updated us about it. This issue may be a script conflicting with the slider script or it could be a CSS error. Try checking there first but we can also see if the staff have an input on this.

It could be that the technicians did do an update. Maybe it was a small enough update that they decided not to announce it.
Re: Slider Is Not Working On Firefox
There has been an emergency update to Firefox (32.0.3).

Yes i can confirm there was an update today on firefox that fixed a number of small problemsSLGray wrote:There has been an emergency update to Firefox (32.0.3).
try and update it and see if it fixed the problem.
please note there was no update to any side of FM's systems so there for its a browser problem and not our end.
Thank you.

Re: Slider Is Not Working On Firefox
I have updated firefox and the bug persists. I agree, however, that this is probably due to firefox's recent update. I submitted a bug with them and will follow up on that. Thank you for the help, thread closed~

Re: Slider Is Not Working On Firefox
It moves when you click, but not while moving. Try replacing b.onmousemove by b.oninput
Re: Slider Is Not Working On Firefox
Tried this out; it seems to have the same behavior (on all other browsers it works, but on firefox it doesn't). Additionally on firefox the numeric input box that's above the slider has the focus taken away from it after each keypress, which doesn't happen on other browser's either. Thanks for the suggestion, but whatever is wrong with firefox definitely introduced a number of bugs

Re: Slider Is Not Working On Firefox
Your slider ^^
The only think I remember doing is closing my browser. ( I have it to delete the cache when I do that )

Re: Slider Is Not Working On Firefox
Hm strange. It kind of works for me, but I have to go really slow and keep it perfectly straight. If I go too fast or move evenly slightly off the track, it resets the slider's position to its starting one. This wasn't how it was behaving yesterday

Re: Slider Is Not Working On Firefox
I noticed if you tried to move the slider before the page completely loads it does that, but then again after it loaded I could move it still. I'm afraid I'm stumped on this one.
Re: Slider Is Not Working On Firefox
Hm alright. Could someone (or preferably a few people) confirm this? I am still seeing the issue on both my computers so I'm not entirely convinced it's fixed. Try clicking the scroll bar on the far left of the range, then Quickly dragging it all the way to the right. When I do this it doesn't get far at all and just resets itself/stays on the far left.
Btw the scroller got moved to this page:
