Forumotion white pages

Hello,
I just wanted to say that was crazy, you guys at forumotion need to fix your servers...  Almost if not all forumotion sites were just down for nearly an Hour On Christmas EVE?

I would like some answers as I am sure plenty of other forum owners would as well.

Yes it  seems to have been everyone, It seems as if the Network went down completely for close to an hour!

Yes Derri all systems are go now... we just want some explanation for why on Christmas Eve their is the worst server crash ever? We want this issue fixed, but it keeps getting WORSE!

Unfortunately we can't give any information as I'll be honest and say we don't actually know much more than you as we are volunteer staff and all I knew was it was being dealt with as our Pro Admin is out of office for the holidays and we therefore don't get any direct updates.

All I can do is apologize and hope that it doesn't go down again.

Our site is still down coming up on 2 hours?  It is NOT fixed. I couldn't get on here until just a little while ago.

But derri this is getting scary... Say the servers did NOT come back up on their own, with forumotion Admins on vacation during the holidays, we would not be able to access the SUPPORT or OUR forum. It is very concerning to, as an admin our only duty is to keep our forum running smoothly on cylinders 24/7. This server issue is a big deal, We can not PREVENT it from happening, we CAN NOT FIX the issue, and if the server were to never come back up, their is not diddly squat we can do about it. I mean our forum users consider their admins the highest people in charge... if the site goes down becuase of something OUT OF our control then it reflects BAD ON US. This server problem could keep us administrators from doing our JOBS. We go from very powerful people, to very powerLESS people in the flick of a switch.

The fact that we can not do anything about this is what concerns me the most. And it appears to just keep getting worse. Each time it happens it takes down more and more forums with it. Each time it takes the servers longer to recover. What are we to do to keep our forums safe?

I am tired of the cat and mouse games with the forumotion admins. When they get back from leave I want ANSWERS! I of course do not blame the volunteer staff at all once so ever! I hope you all have a great holiday and thank you for your service... as for the forumotion admins on the other hand... I do NOT wish them a happy holidays. I request 2 things from the admins when they get back

1. A FULL EXPLANATION!
2. I WANT THE PROBLEM FIXED 100%.

Our forum is still down as well for a while now. Checked on multiple other forums but they were all working fine by now

Try switching browsers... my forum still down on Internet Explorer, but it  is up on firefox.

Strange....some members had trouble getting in (including me) A white page is all we get.  One member said she got an intrusive advert.

I can access my forum using Chrome but not my normal Firefox browser.   I will try to clear casche to see if that works.

Mine was down for a couple hours today. I came over here, read this thread, went back and refreshed, and now we are back.  So, those of you that are wrestling fans, come say hi!

It was down for me for like 2 hours. I own 2 different forums and am a mod on another and non were working at all. All seems ok now.

See, Like everyone was affected, and forums are appearing on some browsers but not others, So in other words yes the server is back UP! but is still a guessing game on how to access our stuff.

Forumotion needs get their butts back in that office ASAP, WE WANT ANSWERs, everyone, even if your forum is back up please report it if at all went down. because it will show just how bad this problem is getting!

@brandon_g Considering the time, they're probably out of office, except maybe for a skeleton crew. Regardless, even though they're paid employees they're still human. I made a stop by the French support, and a few members had a similar problem. However, there is no official word on what caused it, again, most likely because they're out of office.

@ Ange  I understand they are still human, and they are all on vacation I believe, but this issue has been reported and they have not resolved it. I am not saying it is any body's fault even the admins, I am just saying to give us a full explanation and fix it. As soon as humanly possible. I am okay with bugs and errors, mistakes are part of life, but this should have at least have stablilized, and I just want it fixed is all.

As i posted on another similar topic, i found by refreshing your forum if you get the white page seems to fix it, but telling your members to do that is awkward.

i don't think it had to do with formulation it probably had something to do with the tornado's that touched down it probably took something down somewhere and cause some forums to not show in the usa

good job the help forum is up again it was down as well, I had no sooner spoke and then it went off again on firefox. 

 I switched over to chrome to edit this message

clearing recent history on the firefox history tab, seemed to do the trick so now firefox working OK again

I've also got the same problem. Bizarrely, I can view the admin control panel and can see that members are coming into the forum, though all I can obtain is a blank page when I click on the board pages.
Hopefully, this will be resolved quickly, it's been 24 hours now.

I thought it maybe something to do with my PC but I'm not the only person that can view the site, just a white page.

I do not believe this 1 bit, From what I have read their were forums in many other countries besides the USA that went out last night, I also would not bleive even that were not so... I live New Jersey, I have hard to believing that a tornado like 5 or 6 states away could spread that far and wide. I am glad to see everything functioning great now though.
