Solved Every Forum Address Taken

Post by Eugeo Igvalt January 15th 2015, 4:02 pm

You know something is wrong, when you spend 20 minutes making up a forum address when creating your forum for the first time and everything you type in is taken. I even tried random gibberish like: kojihghufghuugcfxyigf and it still said it was taken.

Thought I should let support know about this.

Hello Eugeo Ayano,
This is mostly caused when people want to make a new forum just for testing purposes to test codes and design stuff or just mess around on so it is likely that they just type gibberish just to make the forum so that they don't have to worry about the address when they are done and can just forget it. Though I know why you may want to bring this to the staffs attention seeing as how this can be annoying and downright ridiculous.

I found out the problem.

My annoying Grammar Nazi self struck again.

It will not work if you capitalize the first letter.

Example: Help.Forumotion.com <-- It will come out as taken
but if you type the same thing lowercase  it will be available.
