How do i make a member an admin?

i want to make a member an admin but i don't want them to have access to my board, how can i do this please?

Hello,

Usually Admins have access to the Admin Panel. Although you could add a password that only you can know to access the Admin Panel. That way Admins will see the Admin Panel link but they wont be able to use it.

This does not make sense.  Could you explain further?

i want them to be able to lock topics,delete topics etc... general things like that but they don't have access to my admin panel

You will simply need to create a group called 'Administrators' or something to that effect and give them moderation powers. As long as a member is not added to the original administrators group, they will not be able to access the administration panel.
