Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
So whenever I want to make a post in the forum I go to, I sometimes type paragraphs. Problem is, every time that I type, say, a sentence, then I add press enter to start a new sentence, the gap between the two sentences doubles.
Example:
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.
The lazy dog was sitting under a tree.
While in fact, I intend for my space-gap to be like this:
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.
The lazy dog was sitting under a tree.
So the problem is, whenever I press enter to make a space between sentences, paragraphs, words etc., it automatically becomes double-spaced once I submit my post. To fix this issue, I always have to click Preview before submitting my post to remove the extra space. Or to submit my post then go back and edit it to remove the extra space.
Any way to fix this, perhaps? Maybe it requires some code...?

Re: Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
Are you in WYSIWYG mode? If you are, it will add double space.

Re: Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
How do I check if I have WYSIWYG mode? If so, how can I change it and retain the same features it contains?
Re: Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
Click the white sheet of paper. If it's highlighted in white it means you're in source mode, if it's not highlighted in white you're in WYSIWYG mode.
Re: Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
Yes, I always make sure it's not highlighted because it makes the effects of bold and such activated immediately, instead of seeing them in the form of [b] and such. Any method to fix this without having the white sheet of paper highlighted?
Re: Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
I'm not entirely sure, because I'm not encountering the problem you mentioned in Source or WYSIWYG mode. Could you provide an URL to your forum and the browser you're using ?
Re: Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
the forum is believeinwinx.forum-motion.com . The forum is currently under a lock down, if it matters. The browser I use is Google Chrome - the very latest version.
Re: Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
I still cannot seem the recreate the issue.
Does anyone else on the forum experience this problem ?

Try a different browser.

Re: Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
Just me faces this problem apparently. I use Google Chrome (latest version, and so does others in the forum). I didn't face this problem in this thread, but I certainly do in the other forum. I use Windows 8.1, if that's of any matter. Also, thing is, I would like to keep using Google Chrome and not switch my browsers to use the forum - adding that others use the same browser as I and don't face this problem.
Re: Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
Maybe it could a setting within/in your profile that could be causing the issue... do you have images, codes or any thing else in your profile?
I tried viewing a topic on the forum in question... I do not know if it is because of the lock down or a setting in the acp... but I could not view a topic as a guest to see your problem.

Nope, I don't. I have badges from winning a contest but I know some people who use same browser as I and have a winner badge and still don't face my problem. The forum is unlocked now so it should be good to go.
Re: Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
Hmmm... would you be willing to try to use a different browser once so we can figure out if it could have something to do with the browser (even if other users use the sake one... occasionally a browser can act up for no reason). If you still have the same issue on a different then.... well I do not really know, but at least we would have narrowed it down a bit.

Re: Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
Using a different browser to test to see if you have the same problem on that browser will give us some insight into your problem. For example :
If it only occurs on chrome it's a google chrome problem. If it occurs on multiple browsers it could either be your account, keyboard settings, or your OS.

Re: Unintended Indentation Between Spaces
So just tested with Internet Explorer, (which is the only other browser I have; I never bothered to install other browsers in this laptop) and I think I found the issue. Whenever I'm in WYSIWYG mode, I like to bold what I type and add coloring to them. I figured whenever I add bold..italics..coloring..whatever in WYSIWYG mode in Google Chrome, the space will always be doubled. However, if I had WYSIWYG turned off, the problem doesn't appear. My friend in the forum tested same thing with me using Google Chrome; and he experiences the same issue.
Any way we can fix this while retaining Chrome and WYSIWYG mode?
