DELETE POSTS
I don' t want members to delete their posts. I don't seem to find a way because if I click X on member posts deletion, the box MEMBERS CAN WRITE also goes off....can I have a time standard at least? To leave the message for some minutes and then not enable to delete it?

Re: DELETE POSTS
Yes, I am in advanced mode. When I choose not to delete for members, on the upper page the "members can write" also goes inactive...

Re: DELETE POSTS
I just tested this on my forum. The open a topic box for members does not change.
Please don't double post. Your post needs to be separated by at least 24 hours before bumping. Please use the edit button instead!

Hello,
I do not see what you mean (from your screenshot) what you mean by can write new messages being deacvtivated when you untick 'Delete messages and attachments'.
From what I can see, your 'delete messages and attachments' is unticked, but your 'Reply to messages' IS ticked. I can see your quick permissions box for can write messages is blank, but that does not matter anyway, as long as 'Reply to messages' and 'Write/create new topics' is ticked, your members will be able to write messages fine. I would advice not using and ingoring those quick permission boxes, they are too simple, don't allow much control and when you are manually setting your permissions with the tick boxes, can confuse you. Don't use them, ignore them, your permissions are fine.
Hope this helps,
-Brandon

I just wanted not to let them delete. I tried a thousand times. Seems like the boxes work together.
If you tick can write...can delete is immediately ticked automatically.
If the upper blank field doesn't matter. ..you save me!!! ! Thanks!!!

Re: DELETE POSTS
Ok, can you ask your members if they can write... while the 'delete messages and attachments' is unticked? May you ask them, then relay the results here?

Re: DELETE POSTS
Your welcome anytime!
See that is why I don't use that quick permission thingy! I dislike the lack of control and overall, it can cause confusion, I almost forgot it was even in my ACP... I don't see it anymore haha.
