Keep UNread posts UNread!

Currently on forumotion, if you log in to your forum to check PMs or only have time to moderate a few posts....after logging back in later, the UNread posts/topics will become read even though you didn't open them yet!!!

Extremely annoying and doesn't help moderators that have limited time daily to check bit by bit instead of being forced to check every single unread post in one login session.

I suggest keeping the UNread posts marked as UNread forever until you actually click on the topics they're in.

Yes please! This is driving everyone in our forum mad, why is it set up differently in the first place? Is it possible to set it up through the forum admin?

I vote yes I have the same problem when working on support I read some and have to log off to go feed the baby and when I come back I see the post as read but I have not read them all.

I do get mad at it at times and even if you have to refresh the page you loose the unread icons.

I then have to go in and hit the top 20 or look in the last post Widget.

Please fix this. It's not imposimble, I've seen forums (out of forummotion) that works correctly.

Our forums work correctly.  This is a suggestion to change how one part of the forum works.

Voted yes. This is really annoying and while forumsclub has that option, I don't really fancy the idea of having less control over my forum. I can't really understand why is it this way in the first place.

If this feature works well with ForumsClub, why not have it available on all Forumotion forums?

is there any update to this? I don't understand how this logic was implemented in the first place. It's the opposite of intuitive and virtually every other board software has this for ages? This is extremely bad UX and totally nukes user engagement if they return to a board after some time and they don't get a visual reminder of what is new to them.

This really has me thinking of leaving for myBB, and I really prefer forumotion in most other regards.
