IN Progress "anyone" Home Page

Good morning,

I do not want to rush the staff I have run a group / site for 9 years and am recently moving here although most seems rather simple I am confused about adding the Home Page?

May someone if a member or etc, please, if you may know, tell me if after I clicked preview,  I seen what it looked like that I created, "IF" I click submit will there be a way to remove the home page after the fact if I do not understand how to do anything else but add the description like I did and previewed it, Make sense?

My point is I like the description it let me add after I previewed it but if I click submit and do "not" know how to add anything else is there a way to go back and "not" have a home page like remove it?

I also want to know if there is a "forum tab" added to the menu bar when I clicked preview to seen what it looked like which is a great feature I did not see a forum tab added to the menu bar how will members get to the forum if there is no tab?

And I apologize for all the questions as well as how is there going to be a way to add articles like do I go back to the box where I entered the description header and remove the description I put in and place a article there to show up on the home page but the way I see it if I do that then the description I created to start with and previewed will probably then be removed 

MY basic point is I guess ""how do I add other things to the home page"" Like I would like to add articles and my writings etc..?

Sorry if this is confusing and a run on I am confused I am afraid to click submit for not knowing if I do not understand what to do I will not be able to go back and remove it? 

And I would only like to have a home page if there is a way to add articles etc...?

I am at the "Modules tab"and clicked the "html" in the menu called html and java script...

I do not understand html I am using what you see is what you get..

So from what I can gather, you want to create a new homepage for your website so that you can put articles, etc on it, but still of course allow access to the forum itself?

If so, HTML would be the best way, can make it use your forum header and make it your homepage, the other way would be to activate a blog on your forum and have it appear on your portal. Users of your site can always.access.the forum portion again by clicking the banner of your site, clicking the 'home' button or putting /forum at the end your site url.

Thanks but I do not understand the HTML so what you are saying is to get into the forum after using what you see it was you get, the members can click the title in the banner to gain access to the forum, hmm how would I go about letting them know that?

I guess this is not an option for me for I do not understand the HTML nor how to blog it etc. like you said to do I do highly appreciate your help thank you very much, but unfortunately this is why I paid so long for someone to do this for me at the other site I am not saying anything wrong with it here I LOVE it and have learned a  lot I think I just have to study some how HTML ya know, I went to the other topics link you gave me and I seen buttercup post in another topic links to explain the html and still do not get it LOL

Well you can create the blog in acp-->General-->Categories and forums--> When creating a new thinv, you will see a drop down box that says category, forum and blog. Choose blog and save. That simple. Put any articles and stuff in a new topic there.
