Allowing members to post but not see topics

How am I able to make members see a sub-forum and post in it, although not view others' topics?

It is not possible with the permissions in the administration panel.

Right...That's quite inconvenient. It'd nice if forums could have locked sections where other members except certain groups wouldn't be be allowed to view.

Its not possible as my colleague SLGray said. 

You can set up hidden forums where only specific groups can see the content but those forums will be hidden from any members not in those specified groups, so its not like they could see the forum itself.
