Hide staff IP?

I been wondering this and asked but no reply.....is there a way to hide a staff IP Address on a forum?

No, not 100%. If they have permission to view the IP, they can view it. Hiding the button only reduces the chances, because they can still get to the IP page if they know the correct queries.

Yeah, not really possible 100% as Ange said. The IP can still be viewed in the admin panel as well, if that staff is online at the same time an admin is in the ACP.

I ask this because I tested my theory about founder accounts IPs with a staff and he was doubtful about it and when he tested it I was confirmed about this theory I don't want to say it publicly about it but I can in PMs.

Well yeah staff can see Founder Ip just like Founder can see admin ip and mod ips. Again though, IP Bans are fairly ineffective nowadays with how people have many different devices all with different ips. One could easily get around an ip ban. Plus the direct connect feature via Forumotions utility system. Ip addresses are in effective for that as it is a totally seperate site.

Even if that true people can have other methods.

all you can do is hide the button but with anyone that was to put the ip on the end of the URl it will show your ip address if your staff
