Can't get into the Board as Admin

Hello, I don't know where to add this message so I will place it here.

I just opened up and board, I went in to change the name ADMIN to a username I want. I also changed the password. Since then, I'm no longer a Admin, I'm a mod. I don't know how to go back to being a Admin. What can I do?

I removed your email address for security reasons. Never post it on a PUBLIC forum.

Lets make sure we understand each other. You can log in, but you can not log into the administration panel. Is the issue that you do not see the administration panel link?

Hi, Thank you for removing my email address.

The problem is that I can log in but not as a admin. It says I'm a Moderator. So I can't make myself a admin. I'm the owner of the board. I created it but after I went in and deleted the username ADMIN, changed the password, it only recognize me as a Mod. Do I have to delete the board and start over again to be OWNER/ADMIN? Is There a way to reset the board to the beginning?

Hello,
If you are the founder, meaning /u1 , then it is IMPOSSIBLE to be removed from admimship unless you totally delete the forum. It could be possible that you hid the admins group and hence now show up as a mod. You are still an admin though, you should see a link at the bottom of the forum that says 'Administration panel' , clicking this link will send you to your admin panel Wink

You can unhide it by going to: ACP(Admin Control Panel) > Users and Groups > Groups > Group Administration > Group Administration , go to 'Administrators', find where it says group is:

There will be a drop down box, with 3 options 'Open' , 'Closed' and 'Hidden', it should currently be set to Hidden if it is hidden, open will be grayed out and unable to be selected because the admin group can not be an open group, so to make it unhidden, select 'Closed' and hit save. This should unhide the administrators group and you should appear as an admin again. Very Happy
