[Languages] How many languages do you speak?

I am doing a research and I need to see how many languages and which ones are the most spoken by websurfers.. + other informations that are not needed at the moment

At the moment, I speak 3 languages: Português (Portuguese - native), English and Español (Spanish). But I need to review my Español because I don't practice it in my routine and it's "rusty".

We learned Dutch, French, German and English in school. One of the advantages of living in Belgium I guess, 3 official languages in a small place.

I don't master them all on the same level, but I can handle myself in common situations.

There is no Americano language.  We speak English which has some variations from British English.  This also applies to Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

There is no Americano language.  We speak English which has some variations from British English.  This also applies to Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

@Niko : There's a very distant call to whether can people read, speak, write and/or understand the language(s). I've seen your posts before and what you seek is for anyone to help you out translating your pages. Well, if it wasn't for all the childish smilies and funny parts breaking up serious stuff requesting here, I guess I could seriously have offered my help and assistance on the Dutch, and maybe German part as well. Alas....

Although born in Brazil, my English is fluent (reading/writing). I can read Spanish as well, it is almost like my native language, many foreigners think I'm speaking Spanish when it's actually Portuguese.

SLGray, yes, they are. But many words are not the same, and the accent is totally different. Sometimes, communication between spanish and portuguese people can be difficult/hard (I do not remember which one I have to use, but anyway I think you will understand).

Look at this examples:
In portuguese, enquanto means while. But, in spanish, enquanto does not exist.
But, mientras means while, in spanish. And this word does not exist in portuguese.

Tempo (pt) and tiempo (sp) are almost the same word, if was not for an i in the middle. But, they have the same meaning: time.

So, in a short explanation, both descended from latim. Unlike english.

Also since iam half italian i also speak italian but not that fluently

I speak English fluently. I have been learning other languages (Spanish, Italian, Korean, and Hawiian) but am not confident enough to say that I am fluent in them just yet.

Does it count to speak languages similar to my native but are spoken in different countries? Like Croatian, Serbian (similar but not the same).
