[Only Topic]forum outages, forums not loading correctly
Is there an outage or maintenance ?, my forum is not loading correctly as of 5 mins ago, I have
parts of my theme missing, icons and smilies etc.
I tried a different browser, but that was the same.
www.suzuki-intruder.org
hope this is the correct place to post this ?.

my forum seemed to load ok one minute and the next it does not ?. Its a bit hit and miss.
Re: [Only Topic]forum outages, forums not loading correctly
My own site seems also to have become almost completely unresponsive.
http://reshistorica.historyboard.net
I notice also that logging in to this site (Forumotion's I mean) also hasn't exactly been without delays - it has taken over three minutes before all the images loaded here too.

yes im noticing that as well.
Re: [Only Topic]forum outages, forums not loading correctly
Actually scrub that three minute comment of mine above - it's even worse than that. Some of the images from the image host sites servimg.com, illweb etc are simply never coming through, it seems stuck in perpetual wait mode, and the browser actually gives up and declares the whole site as non-responsive. This for example is my second attempt to post this message.

Re: [Only Topic]forum outages, forums not loading correctly
Same here. Stuff like private messages not loading, unfortunately. Such a shame because I was sending a very important message!
12:30 CET. Website: http://www.friendcodes.nl (http://fcnl.actieforum.com) phpBB3
12:40 got more speed now. Seems to be OK but it's not. It's not loading 100%. What is causing this?

Im guessing its something to do with the image hosting sites, ive had it before, but
not this bad. Hopefully one of the FM staff will be along soon and give us more
of an idea ?.

Re: [Only Topic]forum outages, forums not loading correctly
@Rocket2300 did you try and get into the ACP > Modules > Javascript? It's loading so slowly! It's certainly got almost nothing to do with loading images, unless it's their own! Plus, did you see this: http://prntscr.com/a8jzml ? Hmm....
I am registering this on behalf of the owner because she is in hospital for a couple of days. But I know this much: it's serious. And I know this forum help website and LG's forum and ours are on the same server in France.

could be totally wrong.

No tech staff here at the moment. But we are off to see the owner now. Hope this will be solved as soon when we get back. I am not in panic at all, but this is boring.

Re: [Only Topic]forum outages, forums not loading correctly
It's not just the image sites, I reckon - though because of the amount of content that comes from those sources they will feature most in the waiting status reports in your browser.
I have had two time-outs while waiting for the initial connection to the URL for my own site, even before the image hosting sites were required.

Exactly. So let's just wait ok? Let staff handle this. Meanwhile I'm off to see my best friend in hospital. Thank you!

We have no option but to wait, right enough.
In the meantime it's good that the symptoms of the problem are listed accurately on this thread so that others reading it know that the problem matches the one that they also are experiencing. Saves confusion and unnecessary posting.
Ok?

@nordmann Please, do whatever you feel is right. I'm not your God in any way, neither is she. But I know from the past this ghost won't go away that easily! It will happen over and over again especially during our weekends. I don't know why. My English is not that fluent at all. But I hope you understand and I will wait for the answer and solution. I know someone will solve this as soon as possible. Just wait sit back, relax and be patient.

Posting patronising remarks here is hardly helpful.
For other site administrators: It is still possible, if time consuming, to set up a scrolling announcement through the admin panel to warn members/visitors of the delays being experienced. What I have also noticed is that having as many images in local cache as possible (by navigating to your most frequently used main pages and portal etc) speeds things up a bit for subsequent navigation by you. It at least allows you to quickly post or edit such announcements and keep an eye on things while - as I was so graciously reminded - we all wait for the "staff".
