Category Issue
Greetings,
I'm Phenthus. I would like to tell you that English isn't my first language; which means you might misunderstand me.
/
I have few categories in my forum but they don't show up in the forum. I don't know why, I would like you to fix it if it's possible.

Re: Category Issue
Do the categories have forums connected to them? If the categories do not have forums connected they will not show, once you add a forum to the category they will appear.

Re: Category Issue
You have it all set up wrong you need it like this
See in the yellow line
if you see in my screen shot the categories are all on the outside line and yours are on the inside like under the forums so the other categories are within the forum its self not in the main page

I can't see any differences between your picture and my picture. Are you sure that you've checked my picture though? I think I did the samething like you did.
Re: Category Issue
It is because your forums are not connected to the categories.

Could you detail 'connected to categories' please?
Re: Category Issue
When you want to add a forum to the category you must hit the + that is on the same line as the category. For your case, not you modify a forum you should be able to connect it to the category as there is an option when editing it.

Re: Category Issue
ok do you have a test account on your forum so i can take a look in your ACP to see if i can work out why your getting this problem
If yes can you pm me with the username and password to the account.
Please remember i need a test account not your Founders account

Re: Category Issue
What has happened is you created categories and the forums you created were not added to the category, instead you added the forums below the category. Since all your forums are not connected to categories, you can only see forums on your index/home, that's why the top of all the forums says "FORUM". If you edit a forum you will have an option that says "Attached to:", attach it to the category you want.

I'll do it.
Re: Category Issue
Also, if that is not the issue you must see:
Administration Panel > Display > Structure & hierarchy
If "Keep categories on index" is not set to full, set it to full.

Re: Category Issue
Hello,
As explained above, they are set up correct except for the last one, labeled as 'Market', that one has no forum connected and as a result it will not show. The rest should show as they are set up right. Everyone who has helped you above me, as eliminated every other normal culprit except 1. The other thing that could possibly cause this issue is structure and hierachy. Please may you go to ACP (Admin panel)-->Display-->Structure and hiearchy-->Play and around with this, change it from medium, to heavy, etc. Sometimes on one of these settings, it will hide the categories as part of the structure design, changing it to different settings, usually between medium and heavy can make the categories show if the structure and hierachy are the culprit. If it still doesn't show after playing around with this for awhile, then we might have a real issue.

Yep, It is! Thank you so much. Is there anywhere to set it up? Do I have to do it again for each categories I'll do?
