cannot make the options to donate work

my forum has 2 options to donate, Krill and AlloPass it is an older forum we have been around since 2010.
Recently members interested in donating have contacted me with the following:
they put in all the requested information and chose an amount in USdollars to donate.
they entered a credit card number that seemed to work elsewhere.
they were then informed the information could not be processed and directed back to the board (Krill)
The other one was tried - the setting changed to US/English
the choice of how much money/donations was made.
Information was entered. A browser message appeared stating that this information could not possibly be used.
I then attempted the same myself, with the same results.
Also found both to say "you have exceeded the number of times you may make this request: at two attempts.
No one had attempted to donate for the past several months, or if they had perhaps were discouraged for these reasons
