Privacy?
Technical Details

Concerned browser(s) : Mozilla Firefox
Who the problem concerns : All members

Description of problem
This is intended to be a completely private communication tool for members of a Condominium board. I set it up so only members or above could join, I think. I also disabled guests to be able to do anything, and also minimized what SEO options are available (wishing I could hide this completely from search engines). Is it indeed private and have i done everything to assure that?
It seems like a GREAT product - one I'll recommend if it works for us!
Thanks,
Tom

Re: Privacy?
Hello,
Yes it seems you have done everything right, when I go to your forum, I am re directed stright to the login page, something that should happen if there is no sections able to be seen by guests.

How have my posts been viewed so many times?
Not sure if I am replying correctly, but if no one can see my posts, why is the number of times they are viewed so high? So far, only one other person and I are members. The posts have been viewed many times - I know we didn't do that.
Can I log "who" sees the posts? Can you help me to make my forum completely private?
Thanks,
Tom

Re: Privacy?
The forum will show that guests are viewing hidden areas, but they are only seeing the log in boxes.

Re: Privacy?
Yeah as said above myself, Ape and SLGray , your forum permissions seem to be set up correctly for a completely private forum. No one can see your posts or topics.
You should take into account that everytime a topic clicked on or if anyone refreshes the page while viewing it, that is considered by the system as a 'view', you dont actually have to read it at all, if you even click a topic or a topic is loaded, the system counts that as a view.
When you take that into account, it doesnt really take a whole lot to rack up views on a topic .
Don't worry, your forum is completely private and only your members can read your topics, everyone else can only see your wonderful login page .
