Re: Photos sideways
Heard this one before, but I think this problem is related to how the photo was captured on a device. I am guessing that the photo was taken on an iPhone?

Re: Photos sideways
Thanks for the reply, I have asked them what they are using and awaiting a reply but what I can say is that I copied the photo to my computer in jpeg and tried to repost it but again it uploaded sideways very strange. Its as if the software wont allow a photo to be a certain length vertically.

Re: Photos sideways
The photo needs to be turned around on your computer or phone before posting it in your forum.
Re: Photos sideways
Thanks for the reply
The photo is actually the correct way round on the computer, it only turns round when you upload it to servimg

Re: Photos sideways
Try opening that image on a free image editing software (probably MSPaint) and use "Save As". After that, choose any extension that you want your image to have, and hopefully, that might fix it. (Not really assuring that it'll fix it, have it tried and tell us)
Re: Photos sideways
Thanks for the reply Poser that worked, I opened it in paint and it was the right way up, I then turned it 90 degrees so it was the wrong way and turned it back again and saved as.
Weird that you have to do that, doesnt make sense but it works.
Many thanks to all for your help, hopefully the actual software might get an update to correct the fault

Re: Photos sideways
Hello @Daryn,
The reason your pictures are turning sideways is that Servimg is reading the EXIF data of the pictures now. Which mean it has the same data as the camera or phone the picture was taken with, so if the picture was taken in portrait or landscape format it will appear in such way.

Re: Photos sideways
Well, actually the EXIF data is an update. It is very useful, a lot of photographers were waiting for this but I can understand that other need a bit of time to accommodate with these changes
