I'm almost finished building my site and have a bunch of links that should go to Mediafire file sharing, instead it takes me to Adfly. When it pops up it has a tab in the upper right corner saying "skip ad", I click that and it will take me to my link I have posted at mediafire. sometimes it will come back as a warning of a virus?! Hem mwii Shrug My site is Here.

It can not be removed.  Adfly page is used to earn revenue.  Also it will appear on most links to popular hosting sites.

It's part of Forumotion's advertisements

It can. You have to use credits to disable the ads. I did just that on my forum and the download links to mediafire no longer get injected with Forumotion's adfly account.

I do not believe that using credits to remove the ads will also remove the Adfy page.  Remember that it is also used for other things, like when your forum is ban.

Then that isn't right, if you disabled ads that should be removed as well, because it's a part of Forumotion's advertisements. I sure hope Forumotion isn't pulling such a dirty trick. fufufu

Which plan did you choose ; Registered Users or Members and guests ? I choose the latter plan for 12 months and all ads are gone, including the advertisements on my mediafire links.

Hmm.. So I guess it has nothing to do with the plan then. There's either two scenarios if you disabled the adverts :
1. Something isn't working right on Forumotion's end
2. The person posting the download links added adfly to them ( you can confirm this by editing the user posts )

Prior to purchasing the aforementioned plan, the download link in this topic was linked to forumotion's adfly account. That's no longer the case now, which is why I'm confused.. Think

P.S.
Sorry to hijack the topic. Razz

You might be correct @Ange Tuteur .  I have not really took the time to go through my forum and check each link.

Hello,

When you purchase credits and choose to disable ads, there is no Adfly pages when someone click on an external link. Otherwise, the adfly pages is not a problem but something normal to experience when you are clicking on an external link.
