Description of problem
I don't know if there is a solution for that but here we go. We are Harry Potter role-play forum for beginning. There is a 'new message' notification that appears when somebody else writes a message just before you. So you could see them and edit your message etc. It was good at the beginning, for role play out section at least. But we use dice system that is part of forum itself for Quidditch plays for example. In that case, if that notification appears dice resets itself while resending message.
You can imagine that creats a little bit problem because it affects luck and the result of dice. So my problem/question is; can we disable this notification system? If not, can we make dice somehow unchangable?
Thanks in advance!
Re: 'New Message' Notification
I really do not know if there is a way to stop the resetting of the dice roll.

Re: 'New Message' Notification
Well tried so right now. But maybe because I'm not so familiar with Java codes, I couldn't make it work. It doesn't redirect me to homepage when I write a new message. Anything I should change or add in that code?
Re: 'New Message' Notification
It does not redirect you to the homepage, but to your posts.

Re: 'New Message' Notification
Oh. In that case, it still doesn't help with my problem because nothing changes, I still have the new message notification. And dice still changes because of notification.
Edit: Yes, it is activated and we use some other java script that helps login redirection.

Re: 'New Message' Notification
@carmenta i don't think there's a way to change that. Unfortunately.. That notification for the message is there for security and for safe posting and there's no option through the Admin Panel where you can disable it. Sorry.
