Description of problem

Hello, I was wondering how I could make a place for members to post there links for there sites. A lot of other sites do it and charge there members for it. i want to make mine for free to members. Is making a widget for this possible. Also is there anyway i could activate another page for this, for like them to put all there banners for there websites?

Thanks

You have a few options for this..

  1. Create a Forum Category dedicated to Forum Promotions (Example)
  2. Create an HTML page where you or other staff members with access to the ACP can add in the banners
  3. Create a widget where you or other staff members with access to the ACP can add in the banners

Personally, I think option 1 would be the best since it allows each member to open their own topic and update it themselves with whatever information they want. Of course there would have to be certain rules and guidelines that members would have to follow in order to keep everything orderly and spam-free.

Yup! ^^
Just use the basic HTML code for a linked image when inputting the code source for the widget:
Code:
<a href="Forum Link" target="_blank"><img src="Image Link"></a>

You will need to use smaller banners.  Many forums have advertising banners which are smaller versions of the forum banner.

Checkout the partners widget in the portal of this forum.
