New registrations gaining access to private forum

Hi, I am having problems with new registrations managing to gain access to my private forum before I have lifted the restriction. Anyone know how to stop this as it doesn't seem to happen all the time.

Hello,

Check these 2 settings:

ACP (Admin panel)-->Users & groups-->User options-->Make sure the one about activation is set to admin and save.

Acp-->Modules-->Topic it-->Configuration-->Automatically activate new topic it users (or something along those lines)-->Tick to no and save.

If both of these are ticked to where I said, this should solve your problem.

Do you mean that new members are seeing a section on your forum that is not accessible to them?
