Trying to buy credits via Paypal
Hello,
I have been buying credits now and then and spent them for non-ads. Never had any problem until today.
I was going to buy some new and pushed the Paypal-button and got this info:
The owner of www.forum-pro.net has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.
Pushed the advanced button and got more info:
www.forum-pro.net uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names:
*.forumotion.com, forumotion.com Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN
So now I wonder what to do to be able to buy more credits?
Unfortunately, the members will see ads popping up but I hope it will be solved within soon.
Please help!
Thanks in advance!

Did you add a SSL cretificate before adding the domain name?

Re: Trying to buy credits via Paypal
Hi,
I have not any SSL certificate or any special domain name.
It is the simple name I registered 3 years ago.
I just wanted to buy credits but does not function.
I guess this is the problem:
www.forum-pro.net uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names:
*.forumotion.com, forumotion.com Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN
Thanks for the link also. Been there and read but need to come back later as it is 3.17 am... lol

Re: Trying to buy credits via Paypal
Hi,
Thanks for your reply!
Yes it is the domain name which comes up when I try to buy credits it is not mine.
www.forum-pro.net is using an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is only for *.forumotion.com, forumotion.com as per the info I get.
The connection is not secure therefore I cannot go forward to pay.
Maybe it is a new payment site/domain due to all the new packages as I never had problem before during 3 years and have not seen that domain either.
Thanks again!

Re: Trying to buy credits via Paypal
Hello,
As far as I know, that's a general error for all Forumotion forums which has already been reported
Best regards.

Re: Trying to buy credits via Paypal
yes, it looks like a redirect, or maybe scammer... very suspicious looking as the address has nothing to do with either forumotion or paypal
Re: Trying to buy credits via Paypal
Hello again,
Thanks for your input!
To answer on your question SLGray: no I have not tried any other browser as I think when getting an answer that it is an invalid security certificate, I will not try any other browser.
As two members replied above it seems that there is a problem somewhere.
mpelmmc I have not seen that it has been reported even though I tried to find some info here on the forum.
I even wanted to go further and pay for an Advanced package, but as it is now I can't.
Have a nice day everyone!
Thank you

Hi Walt,
Thanks for the info!
Yes it seems to be functioning but I really would like that the staff confirm that the domain www.forum-pro.net belongs to Forumotion for payments.
Thanks for your input!

Re: Trying to buy credits via Paypal
It certainly does belong to Forumotion You can wait for the answer of a staffer but I can say the domain is from Forumotion.
Best regards.

Re: Trying to buy credits via Paypal
It does certainly look like a Forumotion domain. If you to go the page, the website is almost an exact copy of Forumotion's homepage and if you click create forum it takes you to Forumotion's page so, I would say it is almost certainly a Forumotion domain name.

Re: Trying to buy credits via Paypal
Hi,
Thank you so much for the help!
It does function and I can also see the site in a proper way.
Thanks SLGray for the link!
Now I can at least buy some credits if needed as I have to decide which package to get.
Wish you all a wonderful day!
