Hi all,

A bunch of questions, some of which may not be directly related to this subforum but I hope you'll help.

1) can I change the domain name to one of my own choosing and have a private domain rather that one at forumotion.com?

2) Can I embed the forum into another website or insert/attach a database or other stylistic aspects to the forum?
One thing I'd like to add is a leaderboard for members and am happy to add that to my forum or, of that's not possible, embed my forum into a private website that has that functionality.

3) Is there a way to privatise my forum? Make it my own 100%, get rid of the ads or sell the ad space and make revenue for myself, take credit/debit card payments, be free to do what I want with it and not be tied to forumotion rules?

4) If the above issues are not possible, is there a way to export the forum content to a private forum - so that all the topics, posts and usernames/logins are safe and we don't have to start fro scracth

1.  Through Forumotion:  https://help.forumotion.com/t10579-custom-your-domain-name

External Domain Name:  https://help.forumotion.com/t7021-cname-redirect-an-extern-domain-name-that-you-own-to-your-board

If you do an external one, you can not use a SSL certificate.

3.   You will have to remove Forumotion's ads first.

You can not have complete control over your forum.

4.  We do not have access to our forums' databases.

Thanks. I find it both odd and interesting that, in the comparisons table for all packages, there is 'Easy monetization of the forum' and a greyed out tick mark for the Premium package. Clearly this means it's not available but in which case why mention it at all and why only have the greyed out tick mark in the Premium column and not all 3?

What do you mean by greyed out?  Do you have the premium package now?
