Solved Delete member and their posts

Post by mrs dj May 16th 2018, 5:13 pm

Hi
I found the topic in which this question was asked, the answer being you have to manually delete a members post one by one.

Is it possible you could consider creating a feature to be able to remove all posts from a member in one go before deleting the member? it would make forums neater rather than seeing a post under "guest"

When you have set up the code gave it will give you a box to type the name in you just type the name in the little box then press the button it will then delete all your members posts.

Warning once you have removed the posts some threads may look strange if there is a reply to them that are deleted.

Also once removed you can't get them posts back as they are removed from our system.

To find out what version your forum is just go to your ACP >> Display tab

Yes, it is deleting posts, for example one member had over 4000 posts, after closing every time i received the message i clicked again, eventually it got them down to just over 500 posts, when i clicked again it said nothing to delete. but it seems to work albeit not instant

Yes it will take some time it has to hit our servers in batches as it's not a real tool installed on the main servers it's just a code made by our members to help with removing posts no longer wanted.

So what you have to do is follow the process then once you have done it leave it for about 5 mins then refresh your browser. and then head off to your ACP and Resynchronize your forum

ACP    Forum Tab Configuration Scroll to the bottom of the page.

That will then do the job for you.
