Windows 8.1 and Microsoft Edge
I just installed some updates, and I did not notice there was one called Microsoft Edge Update for Windows 8.1, It installed Microsoft Edge. Now I have it, Internet Explorer, and Firefox. Should I uninstall Edge or Internet Explorer?

Hello SLGray
I see no reason to uninstall any of your browsers especially if you want to be able to replicate a bug declared by an user.
But if you want to get rid of one of your Microsoft browsers, i would strongly recommend to keep Edge

I can't stand any of them I have never liked Any MS browsers but already said you must try and keep one of them as we use them to help us test problems so i kept Edge and removed the old IE
Re: Windows 8.1 and Microsoft Edge
I haven't used ME since 2010, version 7 or 8 i didn't remember.
The good news is, I can use both Chrome and Microsoft Edge (Chromium) to work together.

Re: Windows 8.1 and Microsoft Edge
I will keep all three for testing things with the forums. I will just use Firefox for normal usage.

Re: Windows 8.1 and Microsoft Edge
I dont think you can get rid of I.E sadly, but if you could you definitely should get rid of IE... that browser needed to be dead and buried years ago if you ask me.

Re: Windows 8.1 and Microsoft Edge
I wonder why it did not just replace IE on my computer. It replaces it in Windows 10.

Re: Windows 8.1 and Microsoft Edge
Edge is supposed to replace IE, since Microsoft itself considered IE as being outdated.
There should be tutorials on the web that explain how to remove IE from certain Windows versions

Well actually Windows 10 has both Edge and IE, though Edge is the default. I am guessing it is harder in 8 cause they coded Edge to work with Windows 10 specificlly.

I love Microsoft Edge, what a huge improvement from IE, I don't use any other browser(s).

Personally, i dont use both of them, i use brave, brave is much faster, for old pcs, and removes ads from all around the world (youtube, facebook, s.a.m.d)
Re: Windows 8.1 and Microsoft Edge
I also do not use them. I use Firefox. Since you can not really uninstall Internet Explorer, I just made it where l it would not show anywhere on the computer.
