Forum FAQs need updating
I have had it pointed out by a member that when looking through the forums FAQ that the answer to the question.
"Can I post images?" This is the reply
'Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. https://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed).'
As we aren't able to edit these FAQs I think it is quite important that Forumotion update this. I am putting this in other rather than a suggestion as I believe it is something that has just been overlooked. We have servimg, so this info should be there on our forums. I will put some sort of guide on my forum, but if members look at the FAQs it will still give conflicting info.
I don't think outdated info on a forum gives a good impression.
Thanks

Re: Forum FAQs need updating
Hello,
Yes this was suggested in the past, unfortunately, it always ends up getting put at the bottom of the pile of whatever projects or important bugs the tech team is busy working on.
Thanks for pointing it out again, perhaps one of these days it will make it to the top of the list.

Re: Forum FAQs need updating
It's a little embarrassing how out of date it is
I understand that forumotion have a lot of things to do. I appreciate the new stuff they introduce and the work they put in to correct things for us. It seems a shame that these things like FAQs are neglected though. As despite the work Forumotion do, it's little things like this that give the impression that the forum platform is outdated and no longer cared for
To be honest servimg is a fantastic feature that Forumotion added to their forums. It has to give access to the easiest way I have come across for members to upload pictures on a forum. Forumotion should be shouting it from the rooftop!
I have added a tutorial for it on my forum. I am proud to be able to offer everyone on our forum such a simple way to share their pictures with each other

Re: Forum FAQs need updating
I agree with you (and I have brought this up several times throughout the years myself to keep it on the to do list), and I have now asked our pro admin to remind the team about the FAQ, but I wouldn't expect it to be updated right away or possibly even anytime soon.

Thanks @brandon_g I appreciate it
I hope they do look at doing it, but thanks for giving me a realistic point of view. You never know this might be the time that your reminder gets acted on

That's great news. Thanks for letting us know @SLGray
Thank you for bringing it to Forumotions attention again @brandon_g (though I think my crossed fingers may be what finally made it happen )
