Our forum is regularly slow when typing and pasting

We have delays of up to ten seconds.

The issue now occurs daily, starting around mid-morning UK time and can last for hours.

Is forumotion performing maintenance around that time?

Hello @Richardr Please post your forum URL so we can run tests on your forum.

Also backup's are done every day at random times but most of the backup's are done about 12mindnight 1am UK time but this is not always the case.

So for me to find out the problems you face I need to run tests my end to see if anything is slow loading on your forum.

I have looked at your forum and I do not see any slowness as such.
Some things hosted outside can slow things down.

 Trouble shooting
1, Is the slow loading always going on or just random times ?
2, Have your cleared your cookies / browser cache ?
3, Have you reset your internet Modem / Hub ?
4, About what time do you see this problem ?
5, Is it just you or more then just you ?
6, What browser you using and have you gave other browsers a try ?

Please try and give me as much of this information as you can.

One thing that could cause slow loading is too many images on a forum.

I have also seen you have lots of posts with images that are not in HTTPS
This slows down your forum as it's not seen as safe to all browsers.

Thanks for the assistance. Everything is fine with the forum at the moment, so I don't expect you will notice any problem right now. It usually starts in about six hours time, and yesterday continued on for eight hours.

We are sure it has nothing to do with images.

I might have more information later.

Hi! For the past month I've noticed my site is taking longer than usual to fully load. It will load half way, hang, take a few minutes, then finally load. Please help/advise - G@/\/\eF@Ce ^,^ www.gameface101.com

I've gathered more information and can answer most of your questions.

1, Is the slow loading always going on or just random times?
Not always.

2, Have your cleared your cookies / browser cache?
Yes.

3, Have you reset your internet Modem / Hub?
We are certain it's not a modem issue.

4, About what time do you see this problem?
Starts at approximately 8am GMT, and continues for some hours.

5, Is it just you or more then just you?
So far just one member.

6, What browser you using and have you gave other browsers a try?
Firefox. Will try others when problem crops up again.

Thank you for your reply with what I have asked.

It looks to me we may have a small problem at some point in the morning.

We are getting more reports.

I will mark this a only topic and then ask for help from our head office.
It may mean they will look to see if work is done our end at about that time.

Hello @gameface101 I have added your post to this topic to help you more as i think the problem is the same thing.

I have reported this to our head office for them to run more tests.

Yes, one member experienced a bit of a slowdown about 12 hours ago, and which lasted for a few hours. Not as bad as previously, but still noticeable.

Would you be able to test our forum? If so, the best time to do so would be from noon to around 4pm (GMT).
