Domain has expired notice
My forum members keep getting this page when they try to access my forum, some members report if they click the forum link displayed on the message page they can get to the forum but others say it doesn't work for them. The issue was first reported to me just over 24hrs ago. Can this be fixed or is there something I need to do? I noticed the url is now saying https://quiltersresort.forumotion.net/ whereas it has been https://quilterslastresort.com for a few years now.
Thank you in advance for help

Hi,
It's the same thing happening each year since 2011, you need to renew your domain name.

A domain name has a validity period of one year, after which it must be renewed in order to continue using it. Renewal is a manual operation, to be performed by the founding administrator. It is never automatic.

Re: Domain has expired notice
I believe we had a free domain name for many years, Im guessing it expired and we were no longer eligible for a free domain name. I didn't receive any notification or option to renew before it expired this year which I always have in the past. Thanks for your answer, much appreciated

Re: Domain has expired notice
Did they stop offering free ones? I think with my forum that it slowed down as many migrated to facebook and I assume its no longer active enough to qualify for a free domain name.

Re: Domain has expired notice
Hello,
Benefiting from a domain name offered by our service does not exempt you from having to renew it manually each year (even if free of charge).
I therefore invite you to go to your administration panel and click on the button: Credits management > Spend credits > Domain Name

Also please remember this is not a thing we would offer all the time you are lucky you have had this for a number of years this is always gave to really busy forums and at random so your lucky you have had this for more then 2 years.
Re: Domain has expired notice
Thank for the added information, usually each year I get a renewal reminder but not this year. That's ok, I sent out an announcement to let all the members know to use the forumotion URL. I will be sure to tell them how fortunate we have been to have been gifted a free domain name for the last few years
I have had a migrane for the past few days and cannot remember the Admin password. If I can't recall it soon I will contact regarding getting it reset but thats another issue for another day. Thank you for your help, its very much appreciated. Have a wonderful day

Re: Domain has expired notice
But if you go here, you can renew your domain name for free: Credits management > Spend credits > Domain Name
After you do as you want but a simple connection to the administration panel and a validation of the offered renewal allow you to take advantage of this gift.
