Sending one e-mail to all users
I've recently set up a small forum. I want to be able to notify users when a new forum or category is created as it seems they can only sign up to receive notification of new topics or replies. I've searched here and in the FAQs and I don't see how I do this. I can see that the system is designed to keep outgoing mail limited but as Admin, I seem only to be able to e-mail users one at a time.
Is this simply part of the system so we need to find another way of contacting the whole group, is it not a part of the free version or is it there, but I'm just not seeing it?
Fergus

Thanks for that, I had come across it, but the Newsletter option doesn't appear on my admin page - do I need to activate it somehow?

You're right - that's Newsletter 'Popular Contents', But the free version doesn't allow personalisation of that message so I can use it to send messages to the whole group. Is that the only way a bulk posting can be done?

No, the first option is about the normal newsletter.

Oh for crying out loud - so sorry - you're dead right and I've been messing about at this all afternoon. I can see I'm limited to 2 a month, but now I know what's going on and can work round that.
Thanks so much for your patience - I've been looking at so many different systems I've lost track of which way is up!
Sorry to have taken up your time,
Fergus
