CATEGORIES NOT SHOWING ON PAGE

Description of problem

I have set up categories but they are not showing on the forum page.

1 Category entitled Rules for Posting which I want as a stand alone sticky type post.

2, Category entitles Library which I want to add articles to so I chose the option to add forums to that category. Under the Library category title, which isn't displayed, I have added 2 forums which can be seen but the 2 categories (Rules, and Library) just are not visible.

I saw a suggestion that I have to choose Display>> Structure and hierarchy>> Split categories on index>> Check Medium and Save. on a previous help note and so did that but it didn't make any difference.

What am I doing wrong please. Thanks a lot

Hello @DMH649 and thank you for your request for help.

when making up the layout of your forum when making categories you must add at least one forum added to each category.
If the categories don't have a forum or blog page added it will not show on the main forum.


To add a forum to your category you will need to press the Green + on the top right hand side.

Thanks very much for the reply. I have added two forums under the 'Library' category which are now visible as stand alone titles, but the title of the category isn't showing at all.

What I am hoping to get it something like this -

LIBRARY (category title)
----- Article 1 title
----- Article 2 title and so on.

At the moment all I have is -

Article 1 title
Article 2 title but they are not grouped under a general heading.

Hope that makes some sort of sense lol
