Blank Text Box

I’m setting up a new forum and am having an issue that I just can’t figure out. I think part of the problem is I’m not exactly sure what I’m missing is called, so I’m not able to find anything similar.

Basically, when I create a new topic or reply to an existing one, I’m just given a blank text box without the buttons to format the text like bold, underline, or italics. I know it’s on my end because the problem is on this forum, too. It looks like this:

The only reason I can post the images is I know the code to do it.

I’m using Firefox, but I’ve tried on Chrome and Edge and have the same issue. I'm sure it's something really simple that I'm overlooking, but I just can't figure out what it is.

this is usually a conflict coming from templates or javascript

now since you see it on this forum also then i suggest you

- clear your browser cookies
- update your browser
- disable your browser extensions
- turn off your antivirus

It was the anti-virus. Thanks. I don't think I would have thought of that on my own.
