Slight problem occurred after removing "last edited by". How to fix?

Hello,

I added Yoshi's codes from this thread to remove "last edited by" in posts:

It works, but there is a problem. It only removes all of the text, and after that, a big empty gap is left between the actual post and signature (where "last edited by" used to be).

Any way to fix this?
