Global Announcements taking over categories
Links misdirected somehow probably since opened and never noticed until recently.
In this screenshot, Book 1 is on the header but, what is really seen are the Global Announcements/Announcements from other categories.
This is screenshot of the actual Book 1 itself.
It seems perhaps that the Globals are linked rather that the actual categories?
How do I correct this as this is also in other sub-categories?
Thank you

Coucou,
I may invite you to read carefully this resource, which explain in specific what Global announcements are
https://help.forumotion.com/t66796-global-announcements
In short, a global announcement is a topic that can belong to any category, but that will be shown in all the subforums - sometimes it is used to have the forum rules on all sections for example!
If you don't want to have these topics visible in all the forums, you can simply modify the first post and change the topic type:
A topic can be:
Here you can find more info about Sticky/Announcement topics

A topic can be:
- Normal. This is the regular topic that is visible only where it is posted
- Sticky/Announcement. These are topics that will appear on the upper part of the subforum, but only in the subforum where they are posted. The difference between the two is that the announcements will come before the sticky topics.
- Global announcement. Topics that will be displayed everywhere, in all sections

Thanks for the link.
https://poemmangod.forumotion.com/f1-volume-1
What I am trying to accomplish is you can see it says Volume 1 in that top table. But the Topics, subject matter for Volume 1 is in another table called Topics below all these Globals Announcements. I have tons years of Globals so you can understand my dilemma here.
From my long time ago recollection the understanding on my part was that Announcements would in their own Table called Announcements for Global and Announcements and it would be titled that on the Table Header. But this is clearly not the case.
Which one of these would do that? In General>Messages and Emails>Configuration
Separate announcements and stickies from other topics : 1) No 2) With a line 3) With a table √ << ---I have this one selected
How do I turn off Global option?
Thanks for your expertise in this.

Re: Global Announcements taking over categories
@Stumay the option of global announcement cannot be disabled, you can simply not use it
If you have a lot of global announcements, remember that you can go to the subforum where they are, scroll down and click on "Moderate this forum":
At this moment you can select the global announcements and then click on "Normal" to make them all normal with one click, etc..
