It does look like useless product placement as it's in the wrong
language......I can only imagine an English language forum with
foreign gibberish adverts....... Twisted Evil

I also have their own forum this problem.
Maybe you can explain to me how you can refuse these ads? I would be very grateful, as the forum for visitors to the ads did not wish to attend the forum.

I got advertising on my forum aswell. All of a sudden it appeared yesterday and before that nothing. And i've never paid to make the ad's dissappear.

Is this something new? And if it is why didn't anyone tell us?

Maybe that's because Forumotion would like to increase their revenue to pay their Technicians, so they can provide us with updates and new features.

Because Forumotion have the right to post ads on their forums. Yes, what you think is your forum is actually Forumotion's - they host it.

I know they host it but since they haven't posted any ads so far. It would be nice to let everyone know that they will do that from now on. Then everyone that it isn't a mistake and people can decide to either let the ads on their forums or buy credits.

Well did you try un-enabling the ads manually in the admin panel? You can set it to where only guests can see the ads:

Admin Panel >

General tab >

Forum -- Configuration >

Scroll down to Activate Ad :, then select Guest >

Save.

I hope this will solve what you have troubles with.

The ads are deactivated for your members.

Thats what i see when im in my admin panel so i shouldn't see any if im logged in.

What i'm just wondering is this just a Dutch problem or are there more users in other countries with the same problem?

Well, I guess the only thing to do is pay for credits.

The ads are helpful in outcomes anyway because it pays for our new updats in our forums.

It depends on how much you buy.

The only price I know about an item is around $20 for a domain name for your forum.
