Edit/Remove Chatbox Timeout

I am suggesting that we have the option to edit or remove the timeout time for the chatbox. It gets irritating when we get kicked out of the chatbox after a shortwhile of inactivity.

Any form to configurate the sessiontime in the chatbox, it is annoying to be disconnected every 5 mins. Any help?

But i think a auto log-in is better. Only disconnect when you log-out the forum.

Its there for a reason, and the reason is to kick inactive users out. I don't see what's so bad about it.

If you mean just edit the timer then yes, but not remove.

I don't use much of the chatbox but the timeout is a little annoying

I don't really mind the timeout and it's not at the top of my list of things that I want added, but still voted yes.

I wouldn't remove the feature altogether, but I'm all for making it optional on how long it'll take for them to be session timeouted.

It would just be better if a Administrator can put a time out limit on, getting kicked out or not. Like for example. I can go to my Admin Panel and set up how many minutes, a user gets kicked out when they are away.

Instead of removing it, we should just do it like that, because members may like it how it is. (Don' think so)

My forum is a website design and development community and while we're chatting, we're designing projects, etc...

And, that makes us leave the forum to work then visiting again to chat,

Absolutely. This issue is a big pet peeve of mine about Forumotion. A lot of people in my forums switch between working and chatting, myself included, and it's very frustrating to be logged out automatically after what seems like a few minutes, especially during times with little activity, when people will come, see that no one is on the chatbox, and leave.

An option for automatic logins would also be very helpful in starting new communities, since a significant number of people don't immediately figure out the chatbox.

But would prefer to edit the time out - as we do for sign out of the site - not remove.

I also prefer the log in the way it is - so you know when someone is in chat - its because they want to be, would always have people wondering if they were in or out....

Look, the thing is, sometimes there's not much to talk about on the chatbox. Everyone has to spam a letter to stay inside the chatbox. It's dumb and it's annoying. Fix PLEASE, I BEG YOU.
