Points Store

First topic message reminder :

Hey Guys Hello

Over the past few weeks, there has been a lot of talk about points and what to do with them. I think that an automatic points store should be made so Administrators don't have to spend their time doing point exchanges over the admin panel for people instead of enhancing their forum. I believe the points shop should include things such as this:

Username Change
Buy a Rank (A little field to type in the rank they want, the rank can added to the ACP)
Buy a Signature (For forums like ForuMotion that only allow signatures for staff)
Buy a Home (A HTML page of their own that they can get made/make themselves as like a home. There could be a link in their posts and profile like a little contact button with a home on it. I've seen something called "NeoHomes" on a forum called Neoseeker, and they seem to be a great success)
Buy a Social Group (Create a group that they can manage, it can be anything they want like "Xbox Lovers" or "Horse Riders", etc.)
Buy a Coloured Name (Simply place the user in a group that has the colour they want)

I understand that it would be hard to make these things happen automatically, so I've come up with an idea. The points can be automatically subtracted from the user. The admin(s) of the forum will recieve an E-mail telling them that [Username] has bought a [thing] and you need to [do something]. Here is an example:

Dear Clug,
Hrtxf has just bought a coloured name and you need to create a group in the admin panel with the colour #5babe8 as the colour the usernames will be.

I think this would be a great idea and would make points a lot more useful in forums.

This what we need to complete the points system, because all this time I (as an admin) always do it manually (for adding and subtracting the points) and it's not like me and all co-admins in my forum can online each minute so that we can't always serve other member for shopping as fast as possible.
I hope this kind of module will be implemented in forumotions soon.

let's be honest it's not getting added i just wish someone confirms that there not doing it so this whole thing stops.

if they are doing it it will be the best update forumotion has had Smile

but i doubt they will it's been going on so long.

I voted yes, since points is a hidden feature. It would also help the Administrators of their own forums, so they don't go through the hassle of trading people's points for forum items.

Seriously, it's annoying. First of all, CAPS are read as SCREAMING by many people, myself included. Personally, if someone's screaming it annoys me and guarantees that I will NOT listen or help.

As crazy as this may sound, ForuMotion is run by humans with the same sort of feelings. Yes ok this suggestion is old. Yes ok it is possible to do this. No no and no, it's not obliged for them to do it, nor are they obliged to inform us if/when they will.
I'd also like them to inform us more. It's not a reason to go balistic.

Finally, I personally know the owner. If he had abandonned the site, it's be visible. There are updates, and they're decent and more often then they used to be. So sit tight, buckle up, and enjoy the ride Wink
