Points Store

First topic message reminder :

Hey Guys Hello

Over the past few weeks, there has been a lot of talk about points and what to do with them. I think that an automatic points store should be made so Administrators don't have to spend their time doing point exchanges over the admin panel for people instead of enhancing their forum. I believe the points shop should include things such as this:

Username Change
Buy a Rank (A little field to type in the rank they want, the rank can added to the ACP)
Buy a Signature (For forums like ForuMotion that only allow signatures for staff)
Buy a Home (A HTML page of their own that they can get made/make themselves as like a home. There could be a link in their posts and profile like a little contact button with a home on it. I've seen something called "NeoHomes" on a forum called Neoseeker, and they seem to be a great success)
Buy a Social Group (Create a group that they can manage, it can be anything they want like "Xbox Lovers" or "Horse Riders", etc.)
Buy a Coloured Name (Simply place the user in a group that has the colour they want)

I understand that it would be hard to make these things happen automatically, so I've come up with an idea. The points can be automatically subtracted from the user. The admin(s) of the forum will recieve an E-mail telling them that [Username] has bought a [thing] and you need to [do something]. Here is an example:

Dear Clug,
Hrtxf has just bought a coloured name and you need to create a group in the admin panel with the colour #5babe8 as the colour the usernames will be.

I think this would be a great idea and would make points a lot more useful in forums.

Seriously, it's annoying. First of all, CAPS are read as SCREAMING by many people, myself included. Personally, if someone's screaming it annoys me and guarantees that I will NOT listen or help.

As crazy as this may sound, ForuMotion is run by humans with the same sort of feelings. Yes ok this suggestion is old. Yes ok it is possible to do this. No no and no, it's not obliged for them to do it, nor are they obliged to inform us if/when they will.
I'd also like them to inform us more. It's not a reason to go balistic.

Finally, I personally know the owner. If he had abandonned the site, it's be visible. There are updates, and they're decent and more often then they used to be. So sit tight, buckle up, and enjoy the ride

The owner of this website? Why would you quit your own, active website? You should know it takes time to update the slightest thing. Smile

Nextime, please avoid using caps locked letters, it just destroys the good atmosphere of a thread and comments like this aren't appreciated, this isn't a debate area to have some rude comments like this.

My intention was for the sake of having the best until we see something better. This was done when people wanted a style changer where another example was shown.

Great Idea, it would stop users from making topics about the store in text and it would be much better if the users could actually pick what they want instead of User interface all the time.

I have something that could be added to the colored username item, have it link to another page or have a txt box above the buy option for the color they want. Also have the ability to disable colors so users can't buy specific colors like admin or mod colors

You can already do this. I set up a shop on my ForuMotion forum. It was very easy.

-Username Glow with the desired colors
-Username Glitter with the desired one
-Username Icon
-Custom Title

Voted No.. This only increases spamming as well online users list looks horrible with lots of user colors. This makes confusion between members who is mod & who is member. Many members doing nonsense things to buy signature n color & if u have lots of members then its out of control.

If u really going to add this feature please add on/off facility in admin panel. Don't make it compulsory as i don't want this & i am sure many users also going to switch it off after seeing bad results from this.
