Points Store

First topic message reminder :

Hey Guys
Over the past few weeks, there has been a lot of talk about points and what to do with them. I think that an automatic points store should be made so Administrators don't have to spend their time doing point exchanges over the admin panel for people instead of enhancing their forum. I believe the points shop should include things such as this:

• Username Change
  
• Buy a Rank (A little field to type in the rank they want, the rank can added to the ACP)
  
• Buy a Signature (For forums like ForuMotion that only allow signatures for staff)
  
• Buy a Home (A HTML page of their own that they can get made/make themselves as like a home. There could be a link in their posts and profile like a little contact button with a home on it. I've seen something called "NeoHomes" on a forum called Neoseeker, and they seem to be a great success)
  
• Buy a Social Group (Create a group that they can manage, it can be anything they want like "Xbox Lovers" or "Horse Riders", etc.)
  
• Buy a Coloured Name (Simply place the user in a group that has the colour they want)
  

I understand that it would be hard to make these things happen automatically, so I've come up with an idea. The points can be automatically subtracted from the user. The admin(s) of the forum will recieve an E-mail telling them that [Username] has bought a [thing] and you need to [do something]. Here is an example:

Dear Clug,
Hrtxf has just bought a coloured name and you need to create a group in the admin panel with the colour #5babe8 as the colour the usernames will be.

I think this would be a great idea and would make points a lot more useful in forums.

I vote yes! This is exactly what I was going to suggest next since this is a feature i am trying to work on myself! I also want an option for users to submit XXX amount of points to have the ability to ban a member for x amount of hours! They'll get a kick out of that one..

That may be a good idea on your forum, but I don't think many others would like that... at all It seems a bit harsh. It'd be like me getting annoyed by someone on my forum, then using points to ban them because I didn't like how they did something. Thanks for the vote, none the less

Anyone been to Plunder.com they have a points shop, and the one on megaupload to spend points is the same kinda idea. I just want my members to be able to buy a VIP rank.

I still would like the *Option* provided. If people don't want that feature they don't have to use it, for people who do want it, the feature is there. Makes everyone happy don't cha think?

I have already made a store with all HTML and it looks great!

Techguy, am I mistaken OR did you used to have a red warning bar? I'm sure you did. Anyways, HTML may be good, but this suggestion would be better. Why? It's automated and requires no knowledge of HTML.

I am... him. I know HTML, so I can make one myself, thanks I care about which warning bar you used to have, because, well, ForuMotion stated somewhere that warning bars will not be changed to be higher than they were at any time, and I'm pretty sure you had a red warning bar.

Okay, if you NEED to know, I USED to have a red warning bar but the mods decided that I got it for an unfair reason. If you need to know any more (which you shouldn't), then PM Sanket.

Because for me, everything proposed in the suggestion is already possible. This suggestion, to me, sounds like a simple: "make an add-on so I don't ave to bother". As I said when I first joined; if you're not ready to work for your forum, your forum won't be ready to work for you

I'd be happy to make my own, I just think it'd be easier to be automated.

That, though, is a suggestion for a REAL cash store. This is a suggesting for a store that users can purchase stuff from using their Points they are awarded for posting.

This Is What I Really Need.

I Need It So That All Members Earn Points They Could Unlock Stuff Such As Private Forums, User groups , Ranks, And Others Related To My Forum.

I've Seen Some Sites That Have A Store That You Can Buy Stuff Such As Coloring Your Name , Change Title Of Your Rank Or Color It And Other Great Things!
