I need help with my forums! Categories!

Well i want to have like 5 different categories for my forum but on my site its all the forums that i made and its not all seperate its just one big forum and i want seperate categories.

Create a category, if you want forums under it, check the yes box that says attach forum.

That what i did and it still doesnt work just looks like a big list of forums the categories arent even there???
