Forum Foundership

So, about 5 years ago I created a forum. A couple of my friends helped me with the hard labor of getting it up and running, because we were creating a forum that we were all members of and had been deleted. The forum did really well for a while, but then it started dying, and people stopped logging in. Then one day in December, I got an email saying that my account was inactive and I should come back, which confused me since you know, I thought the site was dead. I got back and after some talk, I was told I could remain the founder, even though they'd taken the account away. So they gave me the title founder, and access to the admin panel... and today I'm being told that I have no more power than the mods. I want to know if there is any way to go about proving how I'm the original site founder and getting my true foundership back. As is, they can just remove me from the admin group and I really don't have the rights I deserve.

When the forum was created, did you use your information to create it?

And I don't know off the top of my head exactly which email I used to create the forum, since they took control of the founder account after declaring me inactive. They went through forumotion support to do so.
